This Privacy Policy explains how PTEMock ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our PTE practice platform.
1. Information we collect
- Account data — name, email address, and authentication details.
- Test responses — your typed answers, selections, and voice recordings made during speaking tasks.
- Usage data — pages visited, device/browser, and timing, via privacy-respecting analytics.
2. Voice recordings & AI processing
To score speaking tasks we process your voice recordings using third-party AI services (for transcription and language assessment). By starting a speaking task you consent to this processing. Recordings are stored securely and used only to generate your score and feedback. You can request deletion at any time (see "Your rights").
3. How we use your information
- To deliver tests, score responses, and email your results.
- To maintain your account and test history.
- To improve the platform and prevent abuse.
4. Sharing
We share data only with sub-processors needed to run the service (hosting, AI scoring, email delivery) under appropriate agreements. We do not sell your personal data.
5. Data retention
We retain test responses and recordings for [retention period — to be confirmed], after which they are deleted or anonymised. Account data is kept while your account is active.
6. Your rights
